As you could probably guess, we are incredibly passionate about our feline friends at Meowy Jane. It all started as a funny pun on a cannabis business name to honor the owners’ love (absolute obsession) of cats. Over the years, the dedication to this mission has only continued to grow through our incredible staff and loyal customers. As a result of all these paw-ssionate people, we are now officially entering a new era of cat-ness - The Glitter Box.

We believe
She is beauty. She is grace. She is Willow. This sweet angel of a girl is the definition of regal elegance with her long legs and tabby stripped fur. Willow is a social cat - seeking out pets, head bumps and belly rubs when her people are near. She will chat you up, and purr her little head off in your company. Willow is also friendly around other kitties (after she establishes that she is the queen) , never missing an oppurrrtunity to snuggle up next to another feline companion. While frisky and playful, Willow is a gentle soul. She likes to climb high on any furniture or cat trees purrrovided to her, observing her domain from above. This sweet, perfect kitty will quickly steal your heart, as she has all of ours.

The Glitter Box purrovides an enriching and safe place for us to foster cats from the Animal Welfare Society. Our goal in this new venture is to help cats get adopted to their furrrever families by allowing the public (ages 16+) to visit and bond with these majestic creatures. So, come on in, grab a coffee and sit in our cozy cat filled lounge.

FAQs
The Glitter Box and Meowy Jane have a shared entry way, but the Glitter Box is separate from the Meowy Jane dispensary.
Yes, we do require that all guests are at least 16 years of age for entry. The lounge does have a cannabis theme and is adjacent to a cannabis dispensary. However, if you are *serious* about adopting one of our resident kitties and have younger family members that would like to meet them first, please contact us ahead of time for accommodations.
No, the state of Maine does not allow consumption lounges and it is not safe for the kitties.
We have complimentary coffee, tea and water available. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks inside the lounge - though we do not have any available for purchase at this time.
Yes! All our kitties are available for adoption
Yes, we only allow up to 8 people in the lounge at a time.
Check our website to see who is currently available, but usually 4-6 cats.
Yes, we do on a case by case basis! Currently we offer the space for rent for small gatherings such as a bachelorette (CATelorette) parties, movie nights, crafternoons with the cats, etc. Please contact us for availability.
We take all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. You can book your sesh online and pay in person!
